alongside working with new fabrics, upcycling is an integral part of the studio of klára židková. non-serial production of authorial pieces allows alternative approaches to working with materials.

 

a favoured approach involves processing waste scraps from other projects in the studio, elevating second-hand pieces into new forms, working with waste scraps from textile mass production, or using deadstock materials donated to the studio by friends and acquaintances.
